The Bristol office of independent building consultancy Jones Hargreaves has appointed Stephen Todd as a principal engineer to work on mechanical, electrical and building services projects.
Prior to joining the firm, which specialises in building and sustainability consultancy, mechanical and electrical engineering and complex project management, Stephen, pictured, spent 11 years at Method Consulting, most recently as senior engineer.
He has a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Nottingham University and a PhD from Loughborough University.
Jones Hargreaves opened its Bristol office two years ago in response to demand for its services in the South West.
Stephen is one of five new arrivals at Jones Hargreaves following 20% growth across its six offices over the past 12 months.
Joining its London office are building surveyor Anais Carson-Mee and senior building surveyor James Miles while the firm’s dedicated sustainability team in its Cardiff base has welcomed Katie Townley as ESG and sustainability consultant.
Office administrator Joana Quintas has also joined in Cardiff to provide key support to Jones Hargreaves’ surveyors, engineers and the ESG team.
Jones Hargreaves partner and co-founder Matthew Jones said 2024 had been a “phenomenal” year for the firm.

Jones Hargreaves’ sustainability team is able to scrutinise potential acquisitions, improve the management of existing portfolios and advise on improving energy and carbon performance across all commercial property sectors with a number of ongoing instructions assisting clients to better understand and improve substantiality across their portfolios.
Its clients include Columbia Threadneedle, ESR, Indurent, Motcomb, Fidelity, Elite Partners Capital and Mileway.
