Young entrepreneurs offered free business space by Citibase

Serviced office firm Citibase is offering free space for a year to young entrepreneurs at its three Bristol centres to help them set up in business.

The Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (YES) initiative, launched across all 36 UK Citibase sites, aims to support the next generation of business owners by relieving them of one of the financial headaches of starting up.

It is in line with Government attempts to boost the UK economy from the grass roots through its Business in You project.

With 60% of private sector jobs created by start-up and small firms, both initiatives are looking to encourage young people to make 2012 the year of enterprise by taking the leap to start up a business or grow an existing one – to develop ideas, write a business plan, employ more staff and start exporting.

Citibase’s Bristol cluster commercial manager Donna Wall said: “This is such a fantastic scheme and I am really pleased that we can give a helping hand to local young start-ups in the early stages of their development.

“We are also particularly pleased that the Government has recognised that giving flexible accommodation to entrepreneurs is a key pathway to economic growth.”

Citibase's three Bristol centres are at Cabot Circus, Aztec West and Bristol Business Park, Coldharbour Lane.
