‘Woman Lawyer of the Year’ shortlisting for Bristol private client partner

August 10, 2018

Michelle Rose, who leads Bristol-headquartered law firm VWV’s private client department, has been shortlisted in the ‘Woman Lawyer of the Year’ category of the prestigious The Law Society Excellence Awards 2018.

The awards showcase outstanding firms across England and Wales and champion individual lawyers who go above and beyond the call in their profession.

Michelle, pictured, a partner at VWV, is competing against nine other lawyers for the award, one of 22 that will be presented at a ceremony on October 17 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.

She has more than 20 years’ legal experience and is recognised as a leading individual on contentious matters by independent legal directories Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

A champion of flexible working, she has also been recommended in the Citywealth Leaders List in the ‘Powerwomen’ category, recognising those who promote female leadership in the private wealth sector, as well as ranking as ‘Outstanding in Field’ for Contentious Probate within Spear’s 500 – a list of the top private client advisors, wealth managers, and high net worth service providers in the UK. Michelle has also been twice shortlisted as ACTAPs’ ‘Contentious Probate Solicitor of the Year’.

She leads VWV’s private client team, based across the firm’s offices in Bristol, London, Watford and Birmingham and made up of 47 specialists providing a full range of personal legal services including wills, probate and estate administration, family law, and – Michelle’s area of expertise – contentious trust and probate.

Michelle said: “It is an honour to be shortlisted for this award. As the legal profession moves forward and more female solicitors are being recognised for professional excellence, I am proud to stand alongside all of the other candidates put forward for this award.

“At VWV, every one of our clients deserves to receive personal, sensitive, and compassionate legal advice and it has been a great pleasure to be recognised for providing such a service.”
