We’re all going on an Easter holiday . . .

Record Easter bookings have been registered by Bakers Dolphin as economy-conscious people switch from air to coach travel for their holiday break. The company,  based in Weston-super-Mare, say its top-of-the-range Gold Coach packages to Lake Garda and the Black Forest have done particularly well.

“I think the fact that travellers can just hop on the coach and not worry about anything from that moment is appealing," said sales and marketing director  Amanda Harrington. She added: "Coach travelling allows all the adventure of a holiday without the high prices of air fares, and the Gold Coach in particular, means people are still travelling in style.” .

The firm, probably the biggest based in the West, will also be running its standard Easter breaks ranging from £219 to £319, with a choice of 23 tours ranging from four to eight days.
