Bristol law firm Barcan+Kirby has advised wealth management and financial planning firm Digby Associates, also based in the city, on three acquisitions so far this year.
Digby Associates took over the financial advice businesses and client banks based in Bristol, Gloucestershire and Hertfordshire as part of its ongoing growth plan. 
The expansion of the client base, through these acquisitions and organically, forms a key part of the firm’s intergenerational planning strategy.
Founded in 2007 by chairman Digby Player, Digby Associates specialises in providing bespoke financial advice and services to clients on investments, mortgages, pensions and inheritance tax mitigation.
It has 11 qualified advisers and four mortgage advisers based in its Bristol head office with additional bases in Malvern and Cheltenham.
Barcan+Kirby’s corporate and commercial department, headed by partner Georgina Bryant, has acted for Digby Associates on corporate matters since 2018.
