Bristol-based public relations agency Empica has expanded its digital team with the appointment of Lisa Marley as video editor.

Lisa, pictured, who recently completed a postgraduate MA in Documentary and Features at UWE, will work on videos for use on web pages and in social media for Empica’s growing client portfolio.

Empica managing director Martin Powell said: “In the last year we have seen a growing demand for quality videos for businesses to get their message across on the internet.

“We have developed a product range that includes mini-documentaries, profile videos, newsclips and social media clips that really engage with people. We have account managers who have worked for Sky TV, ITV and the BBC so we have scripting and story-boarding capabilities.

“Lisa is an exciting young talent and we are pleased to add her to the team.”

While at UWE she self-shot and edited the short documentary Red Sky on the Black Isle, which has won awards at film festivals as well as being screened at scientific conferences around Europe.

Previously Lisa studied Film & Visual Culture alongside Anthropology at The University of Aberdeen, where she was president of the award-winning film making society and later ran her own networking event at a local cinema.

Empica, based in Long Ashton, near Bristol, set up its in-house video capability in 2008 under former BBC Points West journalist Malcolm Frith, who has since retired.
