Applications are being invited for an investor pitching competition that will put Bristol’s best tech start-ups in front of key investors.

Firms will be vying for investment of between £100,000 and £5m at the Silicon Gorge Investor Showcase – part of this year’s Bristech event – when 10 start-ups will pitch to a room full of investors from Bristol and Bath and further afield.

Closing date for applications is before 6pm on November 5 with the pitch on December 6.

This year the upper limit of investment sought has been raised from £2m to £5m after consulting with investors. Applicants will be selected via a competitive process with a pitching competition taking place mid-November to decide the successful applicants.

Gareth Williams, founder of Yellowdog and successful Silicon Gorge alumni, said: “I successfully raised my first angel round after pitching at silicon gorge. Top venue, top investors, top event.”
