VWV, the Bristol-headquartered national law firm, has continued its growth with the appointment of two new directors.

Emma Herbert has joined as director of business development and marketing while Dave Bloor is the firm’s new director of digital, data and technology.

VWV, which has 90 partners and employs 500-plus staff across its four offices, said both roles will help it grow and continue to innovate.

Emma, pictured, has a wealth of knowledge in marketing and business development, having worked for a number of consumer and healthcare businesses, including Bayer, Merck and WW (WeightWatchers).

She joins VWV from Linnaeus, part of Mars Veterinary Health, where she spent four-and-a-half years as chief marketing officer.

She said she was attracted to VWV by the firm’s culture and the opportunity to build strong relationships while contributing to its growth with her cross-sector experience and learnings.

Dave, pictured, joins from South West law firm Foot Anstey, where he was chief technology officer/chief information office for just over five years.

In his 24-year career he has also worked at  Ford, Screwfix and Clarks, gaining a reputation for delivering tangible results in digital transformation and operational excellence projects across a diverse range of industries.

He said he was impressed by VWV’s commitment to leveraging technology and its ambitious approach to transforming the delivery of legal services.

He added: “I share in that commitment and excitement and recognise the myriad of opportunities it presents in elevating the firms’ ambitions.”

VWV managing partner Steve McGuigan said Emma and Dave brought invaluable expertise that reflected the firm’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

“We look forward to their contributions to improving both the working and client experience here at VWV,” he added.

As well as its Bristol headquarters, VWV also has offices in London, Watford and Birmingham.
