Two new Bristol partners and three new legal directors among latest promotions at Osborne Clarke

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has made two partner and three legal director promotions in its Bristol office.

The move is part of a broader set of promotions across the firm which take effect from 1 May and include four new partners in its London office and three new legal directors in London and Reading. 

The newly promoted Bristol partners are Georgina Graham and James Taylor, pictured, while the new legal directors are Katherine King, Elizabeth Shanahan and Shona Toms.

Georgina a specialist data lawyer who advises clients on data protection and privacy compliance, non-privacy data regulation (including data aspects of digital regulation) and on the commercial and strategic use and exploitation of data (whether personal data or otherwise).

She works with clients from a range of sectors, particularly tech, media and communications; retail; and energy.

James specialises in advising high-growth business using technology to drive transformative change within their sectors and the institutional investors which invest in them.

He advises on transactions across the full spectrum of the venture capital, growth capital and private equity markets, including fundraisings, buyouts, buy-and-build projects and exits. 

Katherine works in commercial disputes, Elizabeth Shanahan in corporate tax and Shona Toms in the commercial team.

Osborne Clarke, which employs more than 770 people in its Bristol offices, has announced multiple hires over the past year, including life sciences patent litigation partner Trevor Crosse, contentious financial services regulation partner Benedicte Perowne and technology disputes partner Philip Tansley.
