Two new arrivals at Alder King’s planning team as growth continues

Property consultancy Alder King has strengthened its Bristol-based planning team with two senior appointments.

Simon Fitton joins as a partner from international planning and development group RPS, which has offices at Aztec West and Clevedon. He has particular expertise promoting strategic land through the development plan system which will enhance Alder King’s offer to clients and strengthen links with the firm’s residential development team. 

Simon provides additional experience to the team in the management of major planning applications. 

Catherine Norris has joined the firm as a senior planner from international consultants Atkins where she worked on major infrastructure schemes including HS2 and Bristol’s MetroBus, as well as major residential and mixed-use development proposals. She was previously at Swindon and Bristol planning consultancy DPDS.

Alder King’s planning team, headed by partner Alan Pearce, now includes 10 experienced planners providing expert advice to a wide range of private and public sector clients across the UK including BAE Systems, the NHS, C&J Clarks, University of Bristol, UWE and British Solar Renewables as well as major housebuilders and land promoters. The team, set up in 2006 with six planners, has grown through a challenging market.
