Bristol public relations agency Empica has strengthened its digital and online team with the appointment of two new staff members.

Becki Couch and George Watts have joined as a digital marketing assistant and a videographer respectively.

Becki, who has a degree in Film and Media Arts, will manage online content for Empica clients, including film and video on social media and other online portals.

George, who previously studied Media Culture and Practice at BA Hons level, is now completing postgraduate studies in Documentary Production at UWE Bristol. He will join Empica full time at the beginning of next month to shoot and edit videos for clients.

Both Becki and George will work in the agency’s digital media team headed by Jo Laws.

Empica managing director Martin Powell said: “We are continuing to invest in staff and equipment to meet the challenges of the ever-changing worldwide digital media that we deal with daily. Our team is proficient in all aspects of digital communications to get our stories across by whatever media people consume.”

Empica, based at Wraxall near Bristol and with a satellite office in London, now has 14 staff serving around 30 clients across all sectors. Its services include public relations, events, digital and online services and video production.
