Bristol advertising and marketing agency Sprague Gibbons is growing its team with the addition of two staff.

Sarah Asprey joins as group account director and Sorcha Regan-Capes as a trainee account executive.

Sarah previously worked at the agency – then called RAA Sprague Gibbons – between 1999 and 2008, becoming client services director. She remained at the firm after it was acquired by ThirtyThree in April 2008 but left in July 2010.

She has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing, most of it gained in advertising, PR, digital and creative agencies. She has also worked at Bath agencies Deadpan and Realityhouse.

Her role at Sprague Gibbons is to lead the account management function of the agency, heading major accounts and spearheading new business. She has worked on accounts such as Avis, Siemens, Waitrose and Endsleigh.

Sorcha, who grew up in Bristol, is a fresh face to the industry. She graduated in 2015 with a Masters from Birmingham University and, after travelling extensively in South America, undertook a work placement in a London agency.

She joined Sprague Gibbons this month as a trainee account executive and will be working closely with the account management team.

Sprague Gibbons, based in Queen Square, works with high-profile brands including Sony Europe, Lloyds Register, CBRE and Bristol Port.

Managing director Peter Gibbons said the agency was in a strong position and required additional resources to maintain client service in a period of growth.

“It’s great to be expanding the team, which we are doing on the back of ongoing growth, both in terms of new clients, such as Sony Europe, and increased activity from existing clients,” he said.

“We are balancing a senior hire with bringing in young talent, which we have always found to be essential in growing a successful agency.”

All areas of the business were looking equally positive, he said.

“Both Sarah and Sorcha will work across the business – Sarah in a leadership capacity and Sorcha in a support and training capacity with a focus on digital.

“As an agency that values client satisfaction above everything else, we know that keeping client service levels high is paramount during growth periods, so we would rather add to the team now than come annoy clients when we hit busy patches.”
