Sanderson Weatherall’s Bristol office partner Mark Sheridan has joined colleagues from the chartered surveyor and property consultancy’s other offices in completing its annual charity bike ride from London to Paris.

The 215-mile feat raised more than £3,000 for The British Heart Foundation. The annual fundraising ride, now in its sixth year, has netted a total of £25,000 to date.

In previous years the Sanderson Weatherall team has cycled from Bridlington to Morecambe and from Inverness to Glasgow to benefit charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Barnado’s and Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Mark, pictured below, joined 14 other amateur cyclists to take part in the challenge this year, overcoming broken chains and flat tyres to complete it in a respectable three-and-a-half days.

The challenge was organised by Simon Heather, valuation partner at the firm’s Manchester office with keen cyclists from across Sanderson Weatherall’s nine offices signing up to take part.

The team more than met their fundraising target of £2,000, with clients, friends and colleagues alike contributing to the total raised.

Simon Heather said: “This was the eighth time that we have undertaken the London2Paris cycle challenge and while it was certainly not easy everyone enjoyed the experience.

“I am very proud of all 15 cyclists who took part, and grateful to everyone who supported us, particularly our Sanderson Weatherall colleagues – we definitely felt that they were with us all the way.”

The company is still accepting donations through its Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/2016SW

Sanderson Weatherall employs more than 200 people across its offices in Bristol, Newcastle, Teesside, York, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Exeter.

It provides a complete range of property, machinery and business asset services across retail, residential, offices, industrial, leisure, roadside, healthcare, public sector and third sector.
