The Guild of British Coach Operators has awarded West coach operator Bakers Dolphin a mark of 100% in an audit of quality standards and excellence. The guild carries out an independent rigorous 44-point check on coach operators every two years and will only allow those who reach the highest standards to become members.

Weston-super-Mare-based Bakers Dolphin is the only coach company in the region to reach the exacting standards. Managing director Max Fletcher, pictured, said: “The guild believes that the customer should be at the centre of everything and we are keen to subject ourselves to their examination as they look at everything we do from that perspective. To receive 100% from their audit is a real credit to all our staff and is especially pleasing for our drivers who are the public face of the business meeting and transporting customers every day.”

The Guild of British Coach Operators was formed in 1985 to represent some of the UK’s leading coach operators. As well as benchmarking quality it also provides specialist training for coach operators and staff to ensure the very highest industry standards are maintained.

Bakers Dolphin provides British and continental coach holidays, a coach hire service and bus services and school transport links in the region.
