Regional accountancy firm Milsted Langdon’s forensic partner Roger Isaacs has become the chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’ (ICAEW) forensic advisory committee.

The committee stands at the head of the forensic accountancy profession in the UK and provides advice, support, and thought leadership to members of the ICAEW forensic community, including guidance on the latest technical issues.

It assists a wide range of practices from sole practitioners undertaking expert witness assignments to those undertaking complex cross-border forensic investigations in boutique firms or large international accountancy practices.

Its standing in the profession and wider world is evidenced by the fact that even the government’s Serious Fraud Office has a representative on the committee as do all of the Big Four accountancy firms.

Roger, pictured, who is based in Milsted Langdon’s Bristol office, said: “I am proud to have been asked to lead this highly respected and distinguished body and I am very grateful to my fellow Committee members for all their support during my time as Vice-Chair, which I am sure will continue.

“I am particularly looking forward to working with Vikki Wall who has taken the role of Vice-Chair and, together with the other Committee members, all of whom are volunteers, we hope to give something back to our profession.”

Roger is also the national technical director of the Network of Independent Forensic Accountants (NIFA) and is regularly called on to provide his expertise in jurisdictions around the world through his position on the Forensic Group of MGI Worldwide – an international network of accountants with more than 5,000 experts in 250 locations around the world.

Milsted Langdon has 21 partners and directors and more than 200 staff across its offices in Bath, London, Taunton and Yeovil as well as Bristol.
