Eat Drink Bristol Fashion returns to its annual residency in the iconic tipi village in Queen Square next week and Bristol businesses have a rare chance to book for an exclusive banquet evening with its co-founder and award-winning chef Josh Eggleton.

Josh, of the Michelin-starred Pony & Trap in Chew Magna, will be creating a multi-course tasting menu, served with a matching wine flight, at two exclusive banquet evenings next Thursday and on Thursday, May 7.

With only a few tables of 10 remaining for each event, businesses are being urged to confirm bookings to take advantage of a rare chance to entertain staff or clients for a very special evening in the unique surroundings of the tipis. The cost is £1,000 a table +VAT (including matching wine flight)

Eat Drink Bristol Fashion, which lasts from Wednesday to May 10, will feature unique collaborations with some of the UK’s best chefs, a programme of tapas and music in the tipi village and, for the first time this year, a food producer’s market and outdoor music stage.

The festival will showcase Bristol’s independent and locally sourced food and drink from across the region.

This year will feature collaborations between famous names in the South West food scene, with three Michelin starred chefs from Bath, Sam Moody of the Bath Priory, Hywel Johns of Lucknam Park and Richard Davies of The Manor taking over the tipis on Sunday May 3.

May 4 will be Bristol’s turn when Casamia, The Pony & Trap and The Pumphouse will present a Bristol Chefs evening.

The following day contestants from BBC 2’s Great British Menu, Emily Watkins of The Kingham Plough, Dominic Chapman of The Royal Oak will join Josh Eggleton in the kitchen to cook their signature dishes and some dishes from the much loved series.

For the first year, The Eat Drink Market will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend and the following weekend and will feature some of the finest producers and street food from the South West as well as a live music stage and cookery theatre with regular workshops with the best chefs in the region.

The outdoor stage will see some of the finest West Country musicians entertain visitors. Molotov Jukebox will top the bill with Natalia Tena leading the riotous gypstep six-piece for a final weekend finale on Saturday 10th May. Joining them on the line-up will be Bristol favourites Sheelanagig who will cap off ten fun filled days of bands, DJs and dancing.

As part of Food Connections festival, Eat Drink Bristol Fashion is focussed on promoting sustainability and celebrating the food culture of the South West. Co-founder Luke Hasell explains:

“This year we want to bring something really special to Bristol with a stage usually found in the Glade in Glastonbury set up for the occasion and some of the most interesting chefs we have seen cooking in the tipis. To showcase the food provenance we’ll have a ‘Nose to Tail’ evening with meat sourced from my farm, The Story and live butchery. It’ll invite chefs from The Pony & Trap, The Ox, Source and The Cowshed to cook alongside us meat experts for some classic cooking from the city’s finest purveyors of steak and all things beef!”

Now in its fourth year, Eat Drink Bristol Fashion is firmly established as one of Bristol’s stand out food events and now proudly celebrates stunning South West produce and the chefs from all generations who made it a great city to dine out.
