Bristol-based tile retailer Tileflair has opened its 10th trade counter in  Swindon – ending a long search for an outlet in the area.

The Cribbs Causeway-based firm has bought a 3,900 sq ft unit on the Equity Trade Centre.

Managing director Matthew Johnson said: “This will be our 10th outlet. I’m delighted to be able to enhance our service to our many customers in the Swindon area with an easily accessible, local outlet. Furthermore, new customers will be able to experience our unique combination of service and value enabling them to create something beautiful.”

Jeremy Sutton, partner in the Swindon office of property agents Keningtons – which acted for Tileflair – said: “Tileflair had been searching for a suitable and prominent roadside trade counter unit in Swindon for a number of years and as soon as we heard that the occupier of T16 Equity Trade Centre were looking to downsize and relocate to retail premises an approach was made to the owners and a deal agreed.”

Tileflair has taken the unit, previously occupied by Zanussi Appliance World, on a new 10-year lease with fifth-year tenant break.

Founded in 1972, Tileflair supplies the trade, contract and retail sectors with an extensive range of high quality tiles sourced from around the world.
