Albert Goodman, the fast-growing South West accountancy firm with an office in Bristol, has unveiled new branding which it says better reflects its confidence as a fiercely independent business.

The 158-year-old, £15m-plus turnover firm described the new look, pictured, as bold and distinctive and in keeping with its strong belief in regional business combined with a forward-thinking nature.

It also said the vibrant palette with its strong pinks would be a key differentiator in the crowded marketplace.

Taunton-headquartered Albert Goodman, which has 300 staff and 21 partners, secured a coveted B Corp accreditation last year in recognition of its pursuit of purpose as well as profit.

It worked with Dorset-based design and corporate ID agency Fathom on the new look, which replaced branding that had been in use for more than 30 years, pictured below.

While the final choice on the branding was made by the firm’s board, it said staff had reacted well to the introduction of the pink colour and had been keen to use it more – so making it a key feature in the new branding had been important.

Albert Goodman managing partner Iain McVicar said: “Over the past year, we have been working to ensure that the way we look on the outside, reflects everything we are doing inside Albert Goodman.

“To be a successful firm, it is not just about financial investment, it’s an investment in our people, our community and our values, and we understand that if they succeed, so, do we.”

He said the firm’s confidence in what it offered and its bold approach to progression needed to be suitably reflected in a confident, bold new look, while still celebrating where it had come from.

“We believe this new rebrand better represents where we are now, and the future path Albert Goodman is striving for,” he added.

“It’s exciting to see branding that reflects the continued growth and success of our firm, and we are looking forward to a very bright future.”

Albert Goodman, which also has offices in Yeovil, Weymouth and Weston-super-Mare, works across a range of specialisms spanning audit & accounts and business support services to litigation support, payroll bureau and VAT services.

Last year it relocated its Bristol base from a small hub in Westbury-on-Trym to a 3,000 sq ft office on King Street, which was fitted out with an environmentally conscious design.
