Accountancy group Deloitte has continued to invest in the South West by promoting three staff to partner, one to associate partner and 12 to director.

They are among 182 promotions in its regional office in Bristol, which employs more than 600 people.

The three new partners are Georgina Miles, Paul Markham and John Buckley while Mark Boxall is now an associate partner (a senior signing director) in audit & assurance.

The new directors are Jo Martin and Edward Burke, also in audit & assurance, Alice Kirkpatrick, Dan Todd and Katie Ware (tax), Emily Daniels and Matt Paterson (risk advisory) and Rebecca Savvides, Adam Peach, Siobhan Hudson, Ryan Keating and Matt Prechner (consulting).

Georgina Miles, who has been with the firm for 14 years, is part of the firm’s audit & assurance service line. She works with a broad range of clients and industries, but is focussed on leading audits of large, listed clients both in the South West and nationally.

Paul Markham works in the transaction services team and has more than 11 years’ experience providing financial due diligence services to clients. He has a wide variety of sector experience, with a significant proportion in the TMT (technology, media, telecoms) and business services sectors.

John Buckley, who has relocated from London to Bristol, is part of consulting and specialises in digital transformation. He has two decades of experience in consulting across most sectors and leads the firm’s public sector supply chain practice in the UK.

Deloitte South West and Wales senior partner Martyn Gregory said: “These senior promotions add to the depth and breadth of experience we are proud of in the South West practice.

“They are also testament to the firm’s continued investment in nurturing home-grown talent.

“It’s an exciting time for our new partners and directors to be leading their teams as we look forward to moving to our new offices in Bristol, specifically designed for hybrid working and supporting our pledge to become net zero.”

Deloitte announced in April it is relocating its Bristol base, which currently spread across two offices in Rivergate and Bull Wharf, to 22,500 sq ft in the city’s new Halo flagship office scheme at Finzels Reach.
