The corporate finance offering in regional accountancy group PKF Francis Clark’s Bristol office has been strengthened with a trio of new appointments.

Nathan Holland has joined from ‘big four’ accountancy firm EY as a manager in the transaction services team headed by director Sam Phillips, who also worked at EY before moving to PKF Francis Clark in 2020.

Associates Adam Keelty, who joins from Deloitte in Bristol, and Chris Harper, formerly of BDO, have also come on board to work on due diligence projects, mergers and acquisitions.

It follows a record year for PKF Francis Clark’s Bristol corporate finance team, during which it completed deals worth more than £750m.

PKF Francis Clark head of corporate finance Andrew Killick said: “It’s very pleasing to be attracting up-and-coming talent from other firms in such a competitive marketplace, as we invest in growing our team to meet the increasing demand we’re seeing in the Bristol market for a full range of advisory services, including transaction support.

“We’re helping ambitious businesses to identify opportunities and make deals happen, as corporates, alternative finance and private equity still have huge amounts of capital to deploy.

“The volume and variety of transactions we’re working on enables us to offer attractive career development opportunities, coupled with flexible hybrid working and a collaborative culture, to both new recruits and our existing team.”

PKF Francis Clark’s Bristol corporate finance team works closely with the firm’s tax partner Nicola Manclark, who recently joined from the Bristol office of law firm Ashfords, where she spent nearly five years as a corporate tax partner. Prior to that she spent just over 15 years at Bristol-headquartered Burges Salmon and worked in accountancy group KPMG’s corporate tax advisory team in Bristol.

Since opening three years ago, PKF Francis Clark’s Bristol office on Victoria Street has grown rapidly and now has a team of around 50 people advising a wide range of clients.

It is one of the firm’s eight offices across the South West, which between them employ 53 partners and more than 800 members of staff.

PKF Francis Clark is a member of the PKF International family of legally independent firms, which together are ranked as the 11th largest provider of accountancy services in the UK by Accountancy Age.
