Accountancy and financial advice firm Grant Thornton has recruited a trio of graduates to its Bristol office.

The three have joined the firm’s public sector assurance (PSA) practice, which provides external audit services to NHS bodies and local authorities.

They are Sarah McDonald, who has a BSc in psychology from the University of Exeter and an MSc in neuropsychology from the University of Bristol, Andrea Lewis, who graduated in French from the University of Leeds, and Aled Evans, who studied accounting and finance at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Grant Thornton’s PSA team has grown strongly in recent years and the firm is now the largest provider of assurance and advisory services to public sector bodies in the South West, with staff based from Truro to Dorchester.

Grant Thornton’s South West partner and head of public sector assurance, John Golding, said: “We are now the clear market leader in assurance and advisory services to local government and NHS organisations in the region, and indeed across the country.

We are delighted to welcome Sarah, Andrea and Aled to the team in what is an exciting period of growth not only for the PSA team, but for the firm as a whole.”
