Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin.

This week Steven Whibley, co-owner of Pinkmans Bakery on Park Street, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Ant Man for some reason, helped me relax though in a small way.

Book you read? Power of Art by Simon Schama.

Music you bought/downloaded? Rising Son by Takuya Kuroda.

Concert or play you went to? The Who in Hyde Park. Average gig, great day out.

Sporting event you attended? Watched Gloucester play county cricket this summer – along with about five others in the ground.

Holiday you went on? China in 2013, if you don’t count numerous weekends in Cornwall since.

Restaurant you ate in? The Library on Gloucester Road. Not really a restaurant but a very good wine bar with some well-chosen food

Thing that annoyed you? Got cut up by a van on my bike riding to work yesterday morning – B**XXX!!!

Thing that made you laugh out loud? My 18-month-old daughter manages to make me laugh out loud nearly all the time.

Piece of good advice you were given? “Your strength is always your weakness”.  A bit of yin and yang philosophy I have found applies to most people and situations.

Baker Steven Whibley, formerly of Le Pain Quotidien and Gail’s Bakery, recently opened Pinkmans Bakery on Park Street with Troels Bendix.
