Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Sally Cordwell, business director of branding and communications agency Future Kings, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Moana. My daughter loves it, so I’ve watched it at least twice a week for the last few months

Book you read? I’m just finishing Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie. It is brilliant.

Music you bought/downloaded? Kabaka Pyramid’s album Kontraband

Concert or play you went to? A Christmas Carol at Bristol Old Vic. A fantastic show. Go and see it!

Sporting event you attended? Whitchurch U9s v Brislington U9s! We’re Bristol City season ticket holders but I still spend more time watching my two sons play football than I do watching Bristol City.

Holiday you went on? A wonderful family camping holiday on the Ile de Re in France. It was utterly magical and I can’t wait to go again.

Restaurant you ate in? Root at Cargo, Wapping Wharf, with an inspiring woman

Thing that annoyed you? Brexit.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? The News Quiz on Radio 4. I listen to it while I walk to work. I absolutely love it.

Piece of good advice you were given? A friend and colleague of mine advised me to always ask myself if I am at peace with something before acting on it. I find it really useful when I’m struggling with a big decision.

Liverpool-born Sally Cordwell has more than 15 years’ experience in senior marketing roles in the heritage, visitor attraction, charity and public sector. A former deputy CEO and director of marketing and visitor experience SS Great Britain Trust, she recently joined the Bristol office of branding and communications agency Future Kings.
