Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the area’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin.

This week, husband-and-wife team Pete and Chloe Cann from Back-2-Front Recruitment and The Chef Tree answer our 10 questions:

What was the LAST:

Film you watched?

Pete: Oh, that’s a tough one. Probably Monsters Inc. Having a four and two year old, Disney films are mostly on the screen at home.

Chloe: Cant remember but going to watch The Suffragettes tonight – my Mum told me I must watch it!

Book you read?

Pete: Tribes, Seth Godin – a great read for anyone who wants to build a community to sell a product, too.

Chloe: Have a Crap Day, Jez Rose – about delivering word-class customer service, totally love all that kind of stuff.

Music you bought/downloaded?

Pete: As an ex DJ I used to buy 1000s of 12” vinyl. But, to be honest, the last album I bought was from Orange Blossom after seeing them at WOMAD this year.

Chloe: Probably Adele 21. I do like to sing (shout) along to music in my car, I try to only do it when I am alone though as my daughter says it hurt her ears.

Concert or play you went to?

Pete: We went to see Arcadia in Queen Square. So not quite a concert or play – but defiantly a new-age visual spectacular.

Chloe: Arcadia for me too…I love the dramatics of the show along with a bit of dance music, it feels good to let the hair down and dance my socks off.

Sporting event you attended?

Pete: Table Tennis UK Championships, I do like a bit of ping pong.

Chloe: oh dear, the Olympics I think. That’s was a while ago wasn’t it? Need to get out a bit more.

Holiday you went on?

Pete: We had a cheeky weekend away to Ilfracombe after we launched our new app, The Chef Tree last week. It was a well-deserved break after such an intense build up. Although we have 10 days on the Red Sea coming up next week. Chloe: Going to visit my Dad in Eilat next week, really looking forward to some sun, although its 35 degrees at the moment, which could be a little too hot!

Restaurant you ate in?

Pete: The Aztec Hotel, last night before my Mastermind group. Great company and a lovely bottle of wine – or two!

Chloe: Steak and Chips in Ilfracombe – really tasty food in a beautiful location.

Thing that annoyed you?

Pete: Someone not listening to my advice, when I was seriously trying to help them out. It upsets me when people don’t want to help themselves.

Chloe: Being beeped at by impatient drivers on the road – why won’t people just chill out?

Thing that made you laugh out loud?

Pete: My kids this morning, we had a dance off in the kitchen. It’s always great to let loose and have fun with the kids.

Chloe: Making chocolate fudge with the kids yesterday. Charlie used the mixture to moisturise his face!

Piece of good advice you were given?

Pete:  Don’t force yourself to do things you don’t like and concentrate on being better at the things you are good at.

Chloe: Not personally, but I love one from Oscar Wilde: “Be yourself, everyone else is taken.”
