Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin.

This week Jeff Richards, Bristol office director of planning consultancy Turley, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? The Chef with Jon Favreau. It wasn’t a film I’d heard of before, but my wife and I came across it and really enjoyed it.

Book you read? Life of Pi – a fantastic book and I enjoyed the film as well.

Music you bought/downloaded? I tend to stream music rather than buying it. I have been listening to Lapsley recently following her performance at Glastonbury and also Christine and the Queens.

Concert or play you went to? Mamma Mia! for my mum’s birthday. I actually quite enjoyed it!

Sporting event you attended? Horse racing at Newbury for a work event with clients. It’s a great course with a fantastic restaurant.

Holiday you went on? We’ve recently returned from a holiday in St Ives. Having young children has meant that we’ve tended to holiday in the UK for the last few years and we love St Ives. My wife and I have been going there for years and we now take the children every year. We love its mix of beaches, the harbour, shops and restaurants. It’s also a great base to explore other parts of Cornwall.

Restaurant you ate in? The Swan at Wedmore. It was recommended by a friend and the food was great.

Thing that annoyed you? Not a lot annoys me. My children like to test my patience daily though.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? My daughter. She is only two but comes out with some great phases that only a child’s imagination could invent.

Piece of good advice you were given? To leave my work phone at home when I went away on holiday.
