Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Helen Powell, founder of Mode Beds, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Game Night – a silly black comedy but a good one for relaxing over Christmas.

Book you read? Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman.

Music you bought/downloaded? The new Muse album Simulation Theory. I’m very excited to see them play at Ashton Gate in June!

Concert or play you went to? Macbeth at the Tobacco Factory. I love their Shakespeare productions and go every year.

Sporting event you attended? The World Athletics Championships 2017 in London.

Holiday you went on? A road-trip around Southern Spain. I particularly enjoyed the Caminito Del Rey, which is an impressive 8km walk through the mountains with much of it along a suspended pathway.

Restaurant you ate in? Wokyko at Wapping Wharf. It’s such fab food.

Thing that annoyed you? Seeing all the wasted packaging and rubbish over Christmas. It’s good that you can recycle a lot of it, but I wish there was much less unnecessary packaging in the first place.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? I’m pretty quick to laugh most days to be honest, but the last laugh-till-you-cry moment was catching up with old friends in Newcastle.

Piece of good advice you were given? When you start a business expect the highs to be higher and the lows to be lower – and make sure you’re prepared for both!
