Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Donna Whitehead, UWE Bristol pro vice-chancellor, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? I LOVE watching films. My favourites include Commando, Predator, Aliens, Kill Bill (1 and 2), Leon, The Greatest Showman, Jaws and many, many others! The last film I watched was Cargo – a Netflix zombie film; I liked it a lot.

Book you read? I’ve read a few good ones lately but I have to say the best has been Nikesh Shukla’s The Good Immigrant. If you haven’t read it, I’d encourage you to do so. It’s an important collection of essays and it will challenge your thinking.

Music you bought/downloaded? The soundtrack for The Greatest Showman was bought for me by a good friend. I play it in the car a LOT! Aside from that, those that know me well say that I have terrible taste in music.

Concert or play you went to? I went to see Ed Sheeran at the start of the month. It was my youngest child’s first concert and he loved it!

Sporting event you attended? I went to Lord’s to watch the England v Pakistan game recently. I’m not entirely sure I understood all the rules, but I certainly clapped at the right times!

Holiday you went on? We went to Florida last year. Our two children loved it.

Restaurant you ate in? I live in Sherston so I regularly eat at The Rattlebone Inn. They do great pub grub. I’m a Northern lass so I love a good steak-and-ale pie with chips and gravy.

Thing that annoyed you? Things annoy me every day. I’m writing this on the train home from London and as I was waiting to get on the train, someone pushed in front of someone else. Unforgivable!

Thing that made you laugh out loud? We had a faculty game of rounders recently. One member of staff (who shall remain nameless) split their trousers while trying to run for the ball. I laughed a lot at that and in fact I’m laughing about it as I am writing this.

Piece of good advice you were given? Proceed as if success were inevitable.
