Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Asif Khan, business development manager at Learning Partnership West, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched?
Catch Me Daddy at the Watershed. British cinema at its best; low budget, but high impact

Book you read?
A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James. A fictionalised account of the real-life murder attempt on Bob Marley set amidst political intrigue and violence in 1970s Jamaica. The book was recommended by Irvine Welsh at Festival of Ideas

Music you bought/downloaded?
Soft Cell’s Greatest Hits. Marc Almond is playing Colston Hall in April. Say Hello, Wave Goodbye is a classic.

Concert or play you went to?
Kneehigh Theatre’s Dead Dog in a Suitcase at Bristol Old Vic. A brilliant reworking of Brecht’s The Threepenny Opera

Sporting event you attended?
I took my daughter to see Bristol Rovers last season. The Gas team of 2013-14 put the boot into the beautiful game

Holiday you went on?
I went to see Portishead play at La Route du Rock in Brittany last summer. French mud is more sophisticated

Restaurant you ate in?
Josh Eggleton’s Salt and Malt at Chew Valley Lake. Who knew fish and chips could be fine dining.

Thing that annoyed you?
Electronic noticeboards at bus stops. Stephen Hawking would struggle to explain their time zone

Thing that made you laugh out loud?
When the sweet shop owner in St Nick’s market gave a health warning for Raspberry Sours

Piece of good advice you were given?
Alternative can often mean better
