Bristol-based specialist tech consultancy Techmodal is to receive a Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award in recognition of its support to Armed Forces Reservists and veterans.
The firm, which works with defence, industry and public sector clients, including the MoD, also supports the wider Armed Forces community, particularly within the general population, such as Reservists and veterans.
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) recognises employer organisations’ support for the Armed Forces with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. Techmodal already holds a Silver award.
Techmodal head of people Sarah Trevelion, who is a serving Army Reservist currently appointed as second-in-command at 39 Sig Regt based in Bristol, said: “I’m incredibly proud that only a year after receiving Silver, that Techmodal is being honoured with a Gold Employer Recognition Scheme award.
“As a serving Army Reservist and head of people at Techmodal, I am grateful for the support from the business both personally and professionally and I look forward to us continuing to improve our support to the Armed Forces community in the future.”
Techmodal was founded in 2005 by PhD students Martin Jonik and David Evans and now employs more than 150 market experts, data scientists, consultants and systems analysts at its Bristol headquarters and London office.

With an emphasis on teamwork, Techmodal encourages extra-curricular sporting activities, such as entering the recent Solider3030 challenge in Exmoor in support of FirstLight Trust for Veterans.
The business also regularly sponsors military sporting and fitness events, raising money for Armed Forces charities.
