Property consultancy CBRE has strengthened its Bristol operation with two new appointments. Robert Moran has joined the valuation consultancy team as a surveyor following four years at rival GVA and after qualifying as a chartered surveyor last year while Marcus Hutchings arrives from Workman to become part of the property asset services team as senior surveyor. He will work with CBRE’s largest client M&G Real Estate.

Robert will work in investment valuation and be responsible for looking after a number of properties on behalf of institutional investors such as Threadneedle, Legal & General and Aviva.

“In light of the improving UK economy and investor sentiment, this means exciting times ahead for the team,” he said.

Marcus, whose role was previously based in London, added: “This is a great opportunity for me to manage some of the best properties in the South West.

“I intend to use my local knowledge of the market to enhance the property and asset management service provided to M&G.”

CBRE Bristol managing director Garry Hicks added: “Robert and Marcus have a wealth of experience of the local market and they will boost our client offering.

“With the economy picking up we will be looking to grow and expand the business further over the next few years and anticipate even more successful times ahead.”
