Agencies team up in strategic partnership to offer cost-effective creative services

Three creative businesses have brought their talents together to offer a broader service to clients without the overheads usually associated with large agencies.

Bristol-based Strike Communications and Benji Graphics and Newday Media – both based in Weston-super-Mare – have all launched within the past three years.

After finding themselves with growing portfolios of clients – and having collaborated on a number of projects and campaigns – they have decided to formalise the arrangement with a new partnership to deliver cost-effective public relations, copywriting, web design and hosting, branding and design services in Bristol and across North Somerset.

Clients can enter into one contract for all the services, rather than having to deal with multiple agencies or individuals to deliver the different aspects of the work.

Between them, the three businesses have five permanent members of staff as well as a pool of regular associates that they can bring in depending on the type and level of work required.

PR and communications consultancy Strike Communications was founded by in early 2020 by Catherine Frankpitt, who has worked for more than 20 years in public relations in a range of agency and in-house roles, including as director of communications at UWE Bristol.

The agency provides all aspects of PR and communications, including media relations, social media, creative campaigns, crisis management and copywriting.

Its work includes delivering communications campaigns and services for arts and cultural organisations, charities, public sector bodies, universities and SMEs.

Catherine said: “We’ve found the needs of our clients have changed over the course of the pandemic.

“There is a greater understanding from organisations about the need to communicate well and present the best version of themselves in a more digitally-led world.

“Even as things are opening up, that isn’t likely to change. We wanted to find a cost-effective way that would make it as easy and accessible as possible for even the smallest organisations to be able to do this.”

Design agency Benji Graphics was founded by Ben Whitwell, pictured above, left, in 2019 and offers print and digital design along with animation and branding. Clients include Bath Council, the West of England Combined Authority and TM Forum.

Its work includes delivering large citywide campaigns, branding and rebrands, corporate literature and reports, social media campaigns and public sector projects.

Web design agency Newday Media was founded in 2018 by James Godwin, pictured above, right, and specialises in building custom-made, easy-to-use, stylish websites that stand out, ensuring organisations provide a positive digital experience for their target audiences.
