Start-up and growth advice for fledgling firms at BRAVE Enterprise

BRAVE Enterprise, the Bristol-based not-for-profit business support organisation, is running a series of workshops this month to provide expert start-up advice to fledgling firms and help growing businesses promote themselves effectively.

The not-for-profit business support organisation will be running the courses at its central Bristol offices at The Coach House, 2 Upper York Street.

BRAVE’S Promote Your Business with PR workshop on March 15 is for anyone who wants to learn how to publicise their business through the media.

This practical introduction to PR will equip attendees with the essential skills needed to generate valuable publicity in the local, trade and consumer media. They will learn how to write great content for social media as well.

The workshop is presented by Paul Mullins, pictured right , an experienced PR consultant and former business journalist who has worked in the media for more than 20 years. 

Aspiring entrepreneurs can also gain expert start-up advice on BRAVE’s Starting in Business Workshop on March 22.

This all-day event is for those who have thoroughly researched their business idea and is all about preparing yourself, your finances and your business plan. They will get expert advice and encouragement and learn how to take their business idea from the drawing board to reality.

The course is presented by experienced business trainer Liz Gjoni, pictured left.

For those wanting to learn how to market their business cost effectively can book a place on BRAVE’s Marketing on a Shoestring workshop on March 29.

This half-day session will give an understanding of the fundamental principles and practice of marketing.

Attendees will start to develop a strategy based on their own business needs and explore some key tools to help them implement it back in the workplace.

They can also learn how to work smarter on BRAVE’S Improve Your Time Management workshop on March 29. It’s ideal for those wanting to pick up practical skills to manage their time more effectively.

BRAVE’S Essential Customer Care workshop on March 30 will also equip them with valuable skills. The higher quality customer service provided, the higher level of customer satisfaction businesses will enjoy, and that will translate into repeat business and more revenue.

Fledgling businesses can also learn some effective presentational techniques on BRAVE’s Improve Your Presentation Skills workshop on March 30. It’s for all those who want to improve the way they pitch their business to others and increase their confidence in delivering sales presentations.
