Bristol law firm Gregg Latchams will later today officially launch its innovative new way of providing legal advice to entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized firms.

Its In-house Lawyer (IHL) service has been set up following research among West business owners which showed they want high-quality legal support while knowing how much it is going to cost them.

For a fixed annual sum, which can be paid in manageable monthly installments, businesses can access Gregg Latchams’ legal experts in areas such as employment, corporate and commercial, commercial property and debt recovery.

The firm says the website for the new service – www.yourinhouselawyer.co.uk – has already generated significant interest among clients ahead of the official launch this evening at Bristol Zoo Gardens.

Among the first to sign up to the service is Sarah Cade, director at Avon Data Systems.

She said: “It has been empowering to build a relationship with lawyers who understand our business. The IHL service gives us peace of mind, removes vulnerability and provides affordable high quality legal help and guidance.”

John Dalby, partner and head of Gregg Latchams’ corporate & commercial and employment teams, pictured, said: “We believe our new In-house Lawyer service offers the benefit of the best legal support to SME businesses and removes the disenchantment they find with having limited control over how much they spend on legal advice.

“Listening to feedback from business was at the heart of its development and we intend to continue to take on board the views of the companies who sign up to the service.”

The firm continues the theme of listening by inviting Tim Owens, the Bristol-based BAFTA award-winning sound engineer who worked on the highly-successful natural history series Frozen Planet, to celebrate IHL’s launch this evening.
