Regional law firm Wards Solicitors has appointed solicitor associate Georgia Wookey to its highly acclaimed disputes team as it continues to expand its presence across the South West.

Georgia, pictured, has specialised in inheritance and trust disputes since qualifying in May 2016. She joins Wards from Devon firm Stephens Scown, where she worked as a solicitor in its inheritance and trust disputes team.

Georgia specialises in the full range of Wills, trusts and probate disputes, as well as contentious Court of Protection work.

She also advises on cohabitation issues, including cohabitation agreements and in disputes between separating unmarried couples seeking to divide property and assets.

Georgia was listed as ‘One to Watch’ in Chambers High Net Worth 2020 guide while the most recent Legal 500 guide commended Wards’ disputes team for its high standards and excellent track record in dealing with high-value disputes over Wills, trusts and probate.

Wards disputes team head Elizabeth Fry said: “We are delighted to welcome Georgia to Wards. Her valuable experience and outstanding client service ethos is a strong fit for our team and will enable us to expand and develop further our specialist contentious probate practice.”

Georgia added: ‘I’m very excited to be joining Wards and Elizabeth Fry’s team. I am looking forward to helping grow our contentious probate and contentious Court of Protection offer across the South West.”
