Weekend:IN, the Bristol firm helping independent businesses to grow their audiences with the use of social media, influencer marketing and event organisation, has been accepted onto the world’s largest free business accelerator programme, Entrepreneurial Spark Powered by NatWest.

The programme aims to support and empower business owners to scale their businesses from 13 hubs across the UK. Weekend:IN will now join the Bristol hub, which has already hatched a number of fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses.

Weekend:IN was founded by Olivia Tripp, pictured right, and has worked with Bristol businesses such as Papersmiths, 6 O’Clock Gin, Fleur of England and More Wine, as well as other businesses from across the UK.

It is known for its twice-yearly Weekend:IN influencer events, when it brings together design-led independent businesses with high-quality lifestyle influencers for a two-day event to promote the businesses involved, pictured below.

Olivia, who at 22 will be one of the youngest entrepreneurs to join the accelerator programme, said: “I am so pleased Weekend:IN has been recognised to have great potential by Entrepreneurial Spark. It is an exciting time for the business and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

During the six-month programme Olivia will take on an extensive programme of training and development, with one-to-one coaching by an ‘enabler’, as well as having use of an office in Bristol city centre.
