Bristol business owners and finance managers are being invited to an innovative conference later this month which aims to demystify cloud accounting software and allow them to make clearer choices when it comes to picking the right package.

Staged by national accountancy, investment management and tax group Smith & Williamson’s Bristol office, the conference will provide a platform for software developers to demonstrate the key benefits of their products.

This will help businesses and organisations identify what they should look out for when it comes to choosing the right software to fulfil their needs.

The Cloud Marketplace Conference takes place on September 21 at the Paintworks Event Space, Bath Road, and will include presentations from top software providers, leading app developers and cyber security experts.

Speakers and exhibitors include software developers Exact, Netsuite, Oracle Cloud, Sage X3 and Xero, as well as a session from Protection Group International on cyber security, Appfuse on systems integration and representation from app developers Receipt Bank, Expensify, Spotlight, Unleashed, AutoEntry and Futrli.

Delegates will be able to drop into the presentations that interest them as well as having the chance to quiz the exhibitors one to one.

Smith & Williamson business outsourcing services team associate director Helen Bassett, pictured, said: “With so many cloud accounting software platforms now available, it’s sometimes difficult to decide which one will best meet the needs of your business.

“Whether you are looking to transition to cloud, looking to upgrade your existing cloud platform, or just want to find out what the cloud is, the group of experts that we’ve brought together will provide an insightful view of what to and what not to look out for. It’s not often you see representatives from the top platforms together in one space.

“They will also be able to provide guidance on the best course of action for those present.”

She said it was vitally important that businesses picked the right software package, as this would help save time and money, while a move to real-time financial management would help businesses to be more agile in making strategic decisions.

The conference runs from 3.30pm to 8.30pm and includes a drinks reception and various networking opportunities.
