Bristol-based Paradigm Norton has been named Advisor Firm of the Year at the Money Marketing awards, which celebrate the best in financial advice from across the country.

The financial planning firm, which has is head office at Ham Green, was chosen as firm of the year thanks to a successful 12 months during which it received the highest client satisfaction metrics in its 15-year history and doubled its profits.

Paradigm Norton, which also has an office in Torquay, achieved this while keeping its staff happy – as evidenced by its team happiness score increasing to 8.6 out of 10. The company also expanded its graduate training programme in 2016 to take on two more talented young people.

The team collected the award from comedian and presenter Marcus Brigstocke, who hosted the ceremony in London.

Paradigm Norton founder and CEO Barry Horner said: “We’re delighted to have won this prestigious award which is testament to hard work and talent of all our team.

“It is a team effort and everyone at Paradigm Norton is committed to delivering the best possible advice and service to all our clients.”

Over the past 12 months, the 47-employee company has also focused heavily on improving its client induction process and preparing for its B Corporation accreditation, which has led to a review of all key policies, employment practices, corporate governance protocols, mission, vision and values.

“As a company we will never rest on our laurels, we are always looking for ways to develop, expand and improve our services based on client feedback and experience,” added Mr Horner.

The Money Marketing Awards recognise those who had reached the top of their fields in financial advice, from investment and retirement advice to paraplanning and pension provision.

Paradigm Norton has won more than 23 awards since its founding in 2001. Earlier this year the company claimed its eighth Citywire South West New Model Adviser Award, recognising the best fee-based financial planning firms across eight UK regions.

It also donated more than £175,000 to good causes via the Paradigm Norton Trust.
