Bristol IT firm Solsoft has relocated from Clifton – its home for 15 years – into the city centre, taking space in the Queen Charlotte House office scheme, close to Queen Square.

The company, which pioneered the delivery of the IT managed services model to small firms across the UK, has leased just over 3,500 sq ft office on the building’s fourth floor on a five year lease at a rent of £16.25 per sq ft.

Solsoft founder and managing director Mike Ralston said: “After 15 enjoyable years in Clifton it’s nice to be back in the commercial thick of it of BS1.”

The deal was secured by the Bristol office of property agent Knight Frank, which acts for the building’s owner QCH Ltd.

Knight Frank Bristol associate Andy Smith said: “Our clients here have undertaken one of the most exciting refurbishment projects in the city centre, providing light contemporary space in what was a very dilapidated building.

“Having invested in the building they have reaped the benefits, pre-letting five of the six floors and landing Solsoft shortly after completing the project.”

Solsoft was represented by Savills’ Chris Meredith, who said: “In a tight office market and after a sustained period of searching we are delighted to have found Solsoft such high quality and suitable accommodation for their business needs.”
