Business Showcase South West 2015, the biggest event of its kind in the region, is hoping to welcome up to 3,000 delegates in just under two months’ time.

The event attracted more than 1,700 pre-event delegate registrations for its inaugural show last year.

This year it has been extended from one day to two – May 14 and 15 – to meet demand from attendees keen to celebrate the best of South West’s innovation, creativity and enterprise.

Free to delegates and staged again at Colston Hall in Bristol city centre, it offers a unique opportunity to network and make new connections, as well as to hear from leading keynote speakers.

Star attractions for this year’s Business Showcase South West 2015 are industry icon Gerald Ratner, Levi Roots of Reggae Reggae Sauce and Dragons’ Den fame, Stella English, former winner of BBC’s The Apprentice, and ‘Millionaires’ Mentor’ Bev James.

The event’s sponsors are Enterprise Rent-a-Car, First Great Western and Barclays. Bristol Business News and its sister titles Bath Business News and Swindon Business News are media partners.

Most of the 91 exhibition stands have already been allocated to blue-chip businesses and organisations such as Business West, Bristol law firm Veale Wasbrough Vizards, Radisson Blu hotel and Nuffield Health.

The business showcase also includes an invitation-only drinks reception and networking event for the region’s leading chief executive officers.

The event has been endorsed by Mayor of Bristol George Ferguson and University of the West of England vice-chancellor Professor Steve West.

Prof West said: “The South West has a strong reputation for creativity, sustainability, education and enterprise.

“With the regional economy in ascendancy, it is particularly apt that we should be encouraging and celebrating the region’s innovation.”

Director and founder of Business Showcase South West Jamie Breese added: “This is a not-to-be missed event for business people across the region. We hope to welcome a total of 3,000 delegates to network and make all-important business connections as well as be inspired by our keynote speakers.

“This exhibition gives businesses a platform for showcasing their products and services, helping them to thrive and connect with potential customers, the business media and business leaders.”
