Raft of director promotions at Burges Salmon illustrates firm’s ‘ambitious growth strategy’

Burges Salmon has appointed 13 new directors in what the Bristol-headquartered national law firm called a reflection of its ambitious strategy for growth across a number of key areas and specialisms.

The firm, which employs 800 people in its Bristol HQ and London and Edinburgh offices, also said the promotions reinforced its continued focus on delivering an exceptional service to its clients, with each new director adding considerably to the success of the firm moving forward. 

Areas covered by the promoted lawyers include construction & engineering, corporate, dispute resolution, employment, planning & compulsory purchase, projects, real estate, and tax, trusts, and family.

The promotions take effect from 1 May.

The new directors are:

  • Ellen Williams (construction & engineering)
  • Lauren Luscombe (construction & engineering)
  • Julie Book (corporate)
  • Anna Davis (corporate – funds and financial regulation)
  • Caroline Brown (dispute resolution)
  • Lucy Redman (dispute resolution)
  • Jamie Cameron (employment)
  • Sarah Sutherland (planning & compulsory purchase)
  • Lucy Owens (projects) 
  • Paul Clark (real estate)
  • Will Hall (real estate)
  • Hannah Petherick (tax, trusts, and family)
  • Tim Williams (tax, trusts, and family)
