Regional accountancy firm Milsted Langdon’s forensic partner Roger Isaacs has been named Partner of the Year in a major national awards scheme.

Roger, pictured, received the accolade at the 2019 British Accountancy Awards in recognition of his work in significantly raising the profile of his specialist field in the UK.

Roger works with a wide range of professionals and the courts, assisting with complex financial cases, where he is often called upon as an expert witness.

During the presentation at a special ceremony in London, which was attended by some of the UK’s accounting industry’s leading lights, the organisers said: “Roger is a deserved winner. His contribution to the profession is wide-reaching, focusing on both internal and external activities. He’s a true role model who successfully meets the brief.”

Roger is based at Milsted Langdon’s Bristol office but works across the UK supporting clients and the courts. He also plays an important role within Milsted Langdon itself by helping to guide the future direction of the practice and by providing support to his colleagues.

Roger said: “It is a real honour to be recognised by such a prestigious group of judges.

“Winning this award means a great deal to me and demonstrates the growing importance of forensic work within the UK.

“I could not have won this award had it not been for the tremendous support from my hard-working team to whom I am hugely grateful. We continue to take innovative steps to enhance the services offered to our clients.”

Outside of his position at Milsted Langdon, Roger also sits as national technical director for NIFA (Network of Independent Forensic Accountants) and he is also chairs MGI Worldwide, a top 20 global network of accountancy firms.

His expertise is also often requested by the national press and he has appeared on Radio 4 and in The Times and Law Society Gazette in the past year.

He added: “The last 12 months have been a fantastic period for me, forensic accounting and Milsted Langdon. We have seen an increase in the number of instructions we receive for our forensic services and our practice has continued to grow.”

With more than 800 people attending, the British Accountancy Awards ceremony is one of the largest gatherings of individuals from across the accountancy and financial professions in the UK. Now in its ninth year, it celebrates excellence, professionalism, and innovation across the industry.

Milsted Langdon also has offices in Bath, London, Taunton and Yeovil and offers a large range of services for businesses from routine compliance matters to specialist tax advice and planning, corporate finance, business intelligence, insolvency, forensic accounting and mediation services.
