Law firm VWV has appointed associate Edward Reynolds to further expand its dedicated procurement team in its Bristol and London offices.

The team continues to grow as a result of an increase in public sector work, and in response to client demand for advice on procurement and State aid issues.

Edward, (pictured), joins from VWV client, Bristol City Council where he worked in its legal services division for more than nine years. His role at the council involved advising on a wide range of procurement and contractual matters including ICT contracts, shared services and general legal advice on framework agreements, state aid and grant funding.

Edward said: “I am very happy to have joined VWV. The firm has a strong reputation for its public sector work and client base including over 100 local authorities, NHS trusts, central Government departments and universities."

VWV partner and head of public sector David Hansom added: “I am really delighted that Edward has joined the team at what is a very busy time. Our public sector clients look to us for our mix of commercially realistic and creative public procurement advice. Edward's appointment is part of a strategic growth plan for a team which gives the highest level of service to clients who are faced with increasing pressures as public spending cuts continue.”
