Fast-growing telecoms provider Pure Comms, based in Clevedon, has appointed Colin Pearson as financial controller.

Colin, a qualified and experienced chartered accountant, will be responsible for book-keeping, payroll, accounts and other financial duties.

He has worked as an AIMS accountant specialising solely in the accountancy needs of small businesses since 1996 during which he has worked with many firms across the region.

Colin said: “It’s great to see a young business getting off the ground and it’s clear that all the ingredients for success are in place here.

“I’m something of an elder statesman compared to the rest of the team and it’s exciting to be part of something that has such a bright future.”

Colin is a former business owner himself, having run a mail order company distributing desktop equipment.

Pure Comms managing director Rob Vivian said: “Colin’s appointment is something of a coup. He will give us a really strong combination of accounting and finance experience and real business nous. We’re already benefiting from this steadying hand and sage advice.”

In September Pure Comms will take on a marketing intern from the UWE (University of West of England) and the firm is also looking to boost the team with new administration and sales personnel.
