David Powell has been re-elected as head of law firm Osborne Clarke’s Bristol office and will serve a second three-year term.

A lawyer in the city for over 30 years, David is well-known as a passionate supporter of the region’s business community.

He specialises in advising residential developers and his clients include all the major UK housebuilders, such as Barratt, Persimmon, Taylor Wimpy and Galliford Try.

Having played rugby for Bristol Rugby Club, as well as representing the South West at golf, David’s roots in the region go beyond his business activities. He is also involved with community schemes, such as The Park community centre in Knowle West and is a keen supporter of the region’s arts scene.

David said: “At Osborne Clarke we’ve been advising South West businesses from our Bristol office for more than 250 years. That’s quite a tradition to live up to, but I’m lucky to lead a team that is talented and dedicated enough to more than meet the challenge.

“I’m really looking forward to leading our Bristol office for a second term and further expanding the support we offer to South West businesses, particularly with their international legal requirements.”
