Proctor + Stevenson, the Bristol-based communications and design agency, has been appointed as international legal practice Osborne Clarke’s lead digital agency following a competitive pitch.

The 24-month contract with the law firm, which has its roots in Bristol and employs more than 400 people at its Temple Quay office, begins this month and includes all hosting and maintenance, as well as the development of the Osborne Clarke brand experience in the digital space.

Proctor + Stevenson, which was founded in 1979, was one of six agencies to make the shortlist after being approached earlier this year.

It was subsequently asked to develop proposals against a specific brief and, along with three others, invited to present to Osborne Clarke’s brand and communications team in March.

Osborne Clarke head of communications and brand, Hayley Brooksbank, said: “Proctor + Stevenson were the obvious choice for us. Their technically robust approach, combined with a creative core provides a great combination.

“And they came to the table ready to work, with an activation plan designed to get us up and running almost immediately. Plus, they have both B2C and B2B experience so we know we can work with them in the innovative way that suits our brand.”

Proctor + Stevenson founder and managing director Roger Proctor MBE, pictured, added: “Osborne Clarke has a very confident and distinctive brand, particularly for the professional services sector. We will look forward to developing it online and in digital channels.

“The pitch was very well run by Hayley and her team. It is fantastic that our team can simply walk down the road to the Bristol office but will deliver impact around the globe.”

Osborne Clarke employs more than 1,000 employees and 225-plus expert partners across its 24 international offices.
