A unique business knowledge hub to help Bristol and the West of England’s small and medium-sized enterprises grow is to be launched next month.

The West of England Growth Hub will offer users access to an extensive, connected network of business knowledge and skills partners.

The platform, which is still in its final stages of development before going live, will be the fastest place to find answers to business problems and ways to make the most of new opportunities.

It aims to revolutionise business support in the region by creating a web-based community linking support and information providers with SMEs.

The hub was launched recently to an audience of 50 SMEs at an event hosted by West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) at the revamped Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol.

LEP SME sector group chair Neil Way said: “The West of England Growth Hub will give local SMEs the support network they need to successfully manage their growth. While it aims to operate as a web-based resource, advisers will be on hand to support SMEs and gain a deeper understanding of the issues they are facing.”

Growth Hub project manager Tara Gillam added: “We are excited to see so much positive feedback from the launch attendees and the local business community. Their valuable contribution to our partner mapping will enable us to create the best possible resource, serving both local SMEs and support providers.”

The hub is based on a fundamental ethos of community and relationships and will offer benefits to partners and clients, establishing a stronger economic region.

The West of England Growth Hub is powered by Business West for the West of England LEP.
