Commercial interiors specialist Paramount is to open an ‘Instagrammable’ office in Bristol, creating up to 20 jobs, as it strengthens its presence in the city and across the South West.

The Cardiff-headquartered firm said the base on Welsh Back would be one of the city’s ‘most aesthetically-pleasing’ office schemes to ensure the business attract top creative talent.

Paramount is no stranger to Bristol’s property sector, having carried out design and fit-out projects in Bristol for a number of years, including ITV West Country News’ offices and the city base of global engineering group AECOM.

It is currently on site at the 360 Bristol office building on Marlborough St – formerly known as South Plaza and now undergoing a £5.4m refurbishment – and a 25,000 sq ft refit for Salaft Property at The Cube office block at Harbourside.

The firm, which has been trading since 1989, will use its new office to target further work in Bristol and across the South West as it aims to grow its turnover by 50% to £50m within three years.

The new office is now being fitted out ahead of opening in July.

As well as housing Paramount’s Bristol base, the building will also be home to Bafta-nominated natural history film-making firm Offspring Films, which is currently based in St Nicholas House on High St.

Paramount sales director Kevin Mashford, who will lead the Bristol team, said: “We are really excited to be opening an office in the heart of Bristol and we look forward to ensuring Paramount keeps going from strength to strength.

“Paramount’s success is based on its exceptionally talented team of people who take a huge amount of pride in working together with our clients to ensure we achieve the highest possible standards.

“We pride ourselves on making places where people want to be and that’s certainly the case with our new Bristol office.

“It will not only be a highly practical, destination workspace, but also one of the city’s most aesthetically-pleasing, ‘Instagrammable’ offices to attract the talented people who will maintain our momentum and help Paramount clients prosper.”

The office is part of a new chapter in the firm’s development following a management buyout in 2018 led by managing director Richard Jones.

He described the move as a “real statement of intent”.

“It confirms our commitment to invest further in our people, our facilities, and the exceptional service we provide for our clients to ensure we continue to be one of the best in our field,” he added.

“As we embark on the next phase of our journey, I am confident our Bristol team will play a key role in making sure Paramount turnover surpasses the £50m mark within the next three years.

“Paramount has developed an enviable reputation across the UK for creating innovative workspaces that transform businesses, and I know our Bristol team will ensure we fulfill our vast potential.”
