Bristol-headquartered regional property consultancy Alder King has been acclaimed as the South West’s most active agent for the 20th year in succession.

As well as winning the overall title in the annual deals competition, staged by industry publication Estates Gazette, Alder King also again topped the office and industrial sectors.

Alder King, which was established in 1911 and today employs around 130 people, is the only agent to have topped its region’s rankings since the competition began.

It has offices in Cardiff, Exeter, Gloucester, Swindon, Taunton and Truro as well as Bristol.

The unique rankings are based on a comprehensive breakdown of each year’s transaction volumes across all areas of the UK and across all major use types.

Alder King head of agency Simon Price, pictured, said: “Despite all the challenges of the past year, it is fantastic news to have once again emerged as the top agent in the South West overall, as well as topping the office and industrial sectors.

“We are very grateful to all our clients who entrust us to handle their property requirements and proud of our teams for the quality of advice, property intelligence and customer service that they provide to clients.”

Alder King was involved in many of the region’s largest and most significant transactions last year, acting for landlords and developers as well as occupiers looking to acquire space in a highly competitive market.

These include disposals for St Modwen in Avonmouth and Gloucester and acquisitions in Bristol, Keynsham and Gloucestershire for the University of Bristol, St Monica Trust and Clarkson Evans.
