Bristol waste brokerage firm Waste Source has recruited a trio of new staff to its growing team.

Ollie McGeorge joins as new business prospector and Ellie Brown and James Bibby as business development executives.

The three bring Waste Source’s staffing to 10, and founder/director Chris Holland hopes to expand the team further as the company continues its impressive upward trajectory.

Waste Source, based at the Tobacco Factory in Bedminster, is projected to hit a record turnover of £2.4m by its financial year end this month.

The firm counts companies such as Caribbean restaurant group Turtle Bay, coffee bar operator Boston Tea Party and retailer Oak Furniture Land among its clients, managing all their waste requirements in an ethical and transparent way.

Waste Source’s mission statement is to make waste disposal a simpler, cheaper and more effective process for businesses of any size, especially those that operate across multiple locations.

Ollie previously studied Business Management at UWE Bristol and will use his business skills to help grow Waste Source’s national customer base, particularly in the hospitality and food and drink sector.

Ellie, who has a degree in Zoology and Conservation, is a self-confessed eco-warrior from Glastonbury who has spent the past nine months volunteering with the charities Forrest School UK and Elephants Africa.

James Bibby was previously a project manager for a large chartered surveyor. He has a degree in Law and lived in Barbados for 10 years, where he also worked for a concrete plant.

Chris Holland said: “We are actively recruiting to ensure we remain at the cutting edge as we grow, with an aim to become an Investors in People accredited employer.

“These new appointments – together with our office move and record year – show we’re on the right track.

“Our long-term aspiration is to continue growing the business through offering a first-class service and our latest round of appointments will help us expand and retain our local and national client base.”
