New homes partner for Connells estate agents coincides with market upturn

National estate agents Connells has appointed Paul Matthews as new homes partner covering Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

He will be responsible for working with the company’s local, regional and national housebuilder partners.

Paul, , previously on the estate agency side of the business and brings many years’ experience and a broad understanding of the housing market to his new role.

Paul said: “Since the launch of Help-to-Buy for new homes, there has been a huge increase in demand for new-build properties. The Connells New Homes team has been working with our developer partners in the south west to cater for this demand.”

Connells’ new homes business offers expertise from land acquisition and consultation to selling new-build properties to buyers.

Help to Buy was launched earlier this year by the Government exclusively on new homes, enabling buyers to purchase a new-build property worth up to £600,000 with a five-year, interest-free loan for up to 20% of the value of the property.
